Despite his charm, not to mention his good looks, fame, wealth, and talent, life was not perfect for Elvis. There were moments in his life that were very dark and disturbing. Even so, one cannot deny that Elvis's life was one of the most interesting in music history.
To this day, there are still new discoveries about the "king of rock and roll". There are things that people still don't know. As the years pass, Elvis fans will always have a legacy to look back on.
Below are stories about Elvis Presley that have just come to light.

The secret to shiny hair

Elvis was one of the most attractive men of the mid-20th century. One of his impressive features lay in his shiny black hair. The way he keeps his hair shiny and black is to use shoe polish, not hair gel!

Not loved at first

When Elvis became famous, he attracted the attention of many girls. They really liked him… and the boys wanted to be like him. Maybe you think it was the same for him from the beginning? Not so.
During his time in school, he was very lonely. Whenever he brought the guitar out to play, children criticized him.

Who composed the songs that day?

By definition, Elvis was a musical genius, because of his strong, memorable voice and the way he expressed emotions in the songs he sang. What might surprise people is that he didn't write any songs.
A few musicians who worked with Elvis were Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. These two musicians composed songs such as Hound Dog and King Creole.

Even the king was rejected

Elvis had a passion for music and he knew it. Although he was shy at first, he liked to sing and play the guitar. When he was 19, Elvis auditioned for a gospel group called the Songfellows.
He was rejected because the group thought he couldn't harmonize. Still, he continued to pursue his dream.

Too shy to sing

As mentioned earlier, Elvis was quite a shy child growing up. At the age of 12, he had the opportunity to sing at a local station in one of its shows. Due to being too shy, Elvis declined the invitation.
It must have taken all his courage to sing in public. People were very happy that he did that.

Is there another Elvis?

One of the mental crises in Elvis' life was that he had a twin brother. Jesse Garon Presley was born about 35 minutes before Elvis was born, but unfortunately, died at birth.
If his brother had lived, Elvis' childhood might have been less lonely. One can only imagine what would happen when there was another Elvis in this world.

Nearly caught dancing

When Elvis danced, for those who ran the television station, the dance was considered outrageous. It drove the girls hysterical and his dancing movements earned him the name, Elvis the Pelvis. In 1956, Marion Gooding, a judge who handles cases involving minors, attended a concert in Florida.
When Elvis begins his provocative dancing moves, Marion threatens to arrest him.

Go to duty

At the height of his fame, Elvis briefly paused to enroll in military service for 2 years. He joined the U.S. Army and received the rank of sergeant. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when he enlisted in the army. His mother died as he prepared to be stationed at a base in Germany.\

Find the love of your life

There were good things that came to the life of the singing star while he was stationed in West Germany. It was there that he met Priscilla Beaulieu. After meeting, they were almost inseparable.
Despite his 2 years without music, Elvis' time in Germany was one of the most important periods of his life.
